Seabourn Encore

An ultra-luxury liner with a maximum of 604 passengers.

Suites only.

Is the Seabourn Encore really a “six stars” ship?
Suites only. Balconies only. Personalized service (meaning a butler for each cabin). No supplemental charges for any restaurant on board. Free Watersports activities at the ship`s own marina at the back of the vessel. And most of all: a maximum of 604 passengers!
The Seabourn Encore really offers a maximum of luxury to its passengers. The smallest suite boasts 24 squaremeters (258 squarefeet) and an elegant design by renowned designer Adam D. Tihany. The nautical-themed, ultra-luxury suite design is typical for a boutique hotel and incorporates mahogany wood, fine fabrics, marble bathrooms, roomy closets, a comfortable lounge and sleeping areas and mini-bars (fully–stocked with wines, spirits, bottled water, soft drink and beer, replenished upon request). The service is excellent: Your butler will serve breakfast, lunch or dinner in the cabin if desired. We were blown away by the fact that you could order a portion of genuine caviar for free.In general food on board is delicious. Afternoon tea is fine but there is room for improvement (more british refinement please!).
The Seabourn Encore is one out of five luxury ships of the Sebourn Cruise line, a subsidary of the British-American Carnival Corporation. All ships were built in Italy, the Encore 2016 at Fincantieri, Europe´s biggest shipbuilding company. The vessel is 210 meter long, 28 meter broad and has 10 decks. The language on board is english.
All in all highly recommendable.

Endless wisdom in a nutshell

Best Cabin
Within the Verandah Suite category and with a preference for a midship-position (less motion if you easily get seasick) combined with a good view our favourite would be 1013, 1014, 1015, 1017 on deck 10 near a Penthouse suite and an Owner`s suite. Among the super luxury suites our favourite is the Signature Suite (860 ft2 / 80 m2), located forward on deck 8. The balcony or better terrace of this suite measures 440 ft2 / 41 m2 and offers splendid views.
How much is a cruise?
Starting with 4000 Euros per person for an 8 day cruise (indicative, subject of change)

Indicative – subject to change.

Good for Children
The age of the passengers typically ranges from 40 to 70 and above, so even in the high season there might be just a handful of children on board. Nevertheless there are a frew kid´s programs then but do not expect any ziplining and rock climbing walls, etc.
Spa
The Spa boasts 6 treatment rooms and a Spa Terrace , a Steam Room, Saunas, a Thermal Suite, a Covered Poo, and a Beauty Salon. Apart from a variety of massages Seabourn offers the Mindful Living program founded in collaboration with Dr. Andrew Weil.
Sports
There is a well equipped gym and besides passengers love the marina offering kayaks, pedal and banana-boats.
Entertainment
There is live music in the Observation Lounge, dancing in The Club and musical shows in the Grand Salon but of course not as big as on megaliners.
Worst Thing
If you are a gourmet and especially interested in “The Grill”, the fabulous top-restaurant on board supervised by Michelin-starred chef Thomas Keller, you might be disappointed that you can make only ONE reservation. And you should do it long before departure online (though reservation on board is possible).

Breathtaking Journeys.

Checked and Tested.
