In the Chilean part of the vast wilderness of Patagonia there is the famous Torre del Paine National Park. Right in front of Lake Pehoe and the 2500 meter high “towers of the blue” (the translation of Torres del Paine”) the Explora Patagonia hotel is situated. It is the only shelter for miles around and can offer it´s guests breathtaking views. So it´s all about location, location and also excursions you can do here. But this 49 room property offers as much luxury as possible in the middle of nowhere. Especially the spa and it’s heated pool is a bliss. And while the rooms, nice and clean, would not qualify the hotel for a luxury site like ours – apart from the great views they offer -, other things do which perfectly match with the location. The explora has e.g. 26 beautiful horses. I there a better way to get the Patagonia feel? In general the Explora Patagonia is something like a moonbase for well off travellers in a vast, unspoiled nature from where you can start of explorations into the wilderness. So all in all: A great experience!
