Four star all inclusive luxury in the Maldives

Opened in 2015 and completey refurbished in 2023 (including 38 newly added water villas) Helengeli is a truly beautiful island located a bit remote around one hour boat ride from Malé away. It is a great place for snorkeling and diving and we especially like the spa. When it comes to the best villas we would choose a lagoon villa with pool which literally give direct access into the sea. Watervillas are fine, too, but densely built one by one.

The resort is popular for its all inclusive concept. It reminds a bit of cruise ships where you have the main restaurant totally all inclusive (in Helengeli it is called THE SPICE) while others may be limited, eg. for one booking per 4 day stay.

has three restaurants: The Spice (a main buffet), Just Grill (a beach grill), and Raga Route (an Indian fine dining restaurant).

OBLU NATURE Helengeli by Sentido, known as the OBLU Island Plan, covers your meals, beverages, and select activities during your stay. A key highlight is the inclusion of roundtrip speedboat transfers from the airport. 

Dining and beverages
  • The Spice: The main restaurant provides buffet-style dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with international cuisine and live cooking stations.
  • Specialty restaurants: Guests with a minimum stay of four nights receive at least one complimentary à la carte dinner at either the beachfront Just Grill or the progressive Indian restaurant Raga Route. Longer stays may include additional specialty dining experiences.
  • Snacks: Traditional Maldivian snacks are served in the late afternoon at the Hedhikaa Hut.
  • Unlimited drinks: A wide selection of unlimited beverages is available at The Spice, Just Grill, the adult-only pool, and the Raa Bandhi Bar. Options include:
    • Spirits: Brands of whisky, gin, vodka, and rum.
    • Wines: House-pour wines including sparkling, red, white, and rosé.
    • Beer: Two options, including draught.
    • Cocktails and mocktails: A menu of signature drinks.
    • Non-alcoholic: Soft drinks, juices, bottled water, tea, and coffee.
  • In-villa mini-bar: The mini-bar is replenished once daily with beer and non-alcoholic drinks. 
Excursions and activities
  • Transfers: Roundtrip speedboat transfers from the airport are included.
  • Complimentary excursions: Per guest, per stay, the plan includes:
    • One sunset fishing excursion.
    • One local island excursion by dhoni (traditional boat).
  • Non-motorized water sports: Complimentary use of equipment is available, including stand-up paddle boards, kayaks, and pedalos.
  • Snorkeling: Snorkeling equipment is provided for your entire stay.
  • Gym and fitness: Guests have complimentary access to the overwater fitness center and can join weekly group activities like yoga.
  • Entertainment: The resort features live music and cultural performances, such as traditional Maldivian Boduberu music on Friday evenings. 
Spa services
A complimentary spa treatment is included, with the number of treatments dependent on the length of your stay: 
  • 4–7 nights: One 45-minute treatment.
  • 8–11 nights: Two 45-minute treatments.
  • 12–15 nights: Three 45-minute treatments.
  • 16–19 nights: Four 45-minute treatments.
